The 18th Technical Meeting of the CRAC will take place at the CaixaForum in Barcelona, one of the most dynamic and important cultural centers in the city.
Located at the foot of Montjuïc mountain, this modernist jewel was designed by Josep Puig i Cadafalch in 1912 to house the Casaramona textile factory. It remained unused for many years until 1963, when it was acquired by “La Caixa” and, thanks to the patronage of the ”la Caixa” Foundation, it was restored and converted into the cultural center we know today.
Later, it was declared a National Historic-Artistic Monument and is currently listed as a Cultural Asset of National Interest (BCIN).
Today, CaixaForum is one of the city’s most outstanding cultural venues: it hosts temporary exhibitions, cultural and educational activities, and some of the most important works from the Contemporary Art Collection of the ”la Caixa” Foundation.
This year, it offers its Auditorium to host this congress of the association, providing a unique setting where historical heritage and contemporary cultural activity come together.
